10 YEARS AGO – EMMERDALE

When paralysed Jackson Walsh killed himself assisted by his partner Aaron Livesy, Jackson’s mum Hazel was initially arrested on suspicion of murdering him. Aaron (pictured, right, with Jackson) was later charged but found not guilty.

15 YEARS AGO – CORRIE

Ronnie Clayton killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run when driving for Streetcars, then tried to frame boss Steve Mcdonald for it. For his alibi, Steve (Simon Gregson, above) had to admit he’d been in bed with his work partner Lloyd’s girlfriend Kelly at the time.

20 YEARS AGO – EASTENDERS

Jamie Mitchell’s relationship with Sonia Jackson had survived many dramas, including her getting pregnant with her ex-boyfriend Martin Fowler’s baby. But Jamie (Jack Ryder, pictured) sleeping with Zoe Slater was too much and the couple split up.
