PC Lancaster and ‘yob who spent a penny’

By Jennifer Ruby and Eleanor Sharples

SHE finished her training to become a fully-fledged special constable only in April. But it looks like Penny Lancaster is already finding her feet as an officer of the law.

City of London Police’s newest recruit was seen nabbing a man who appeared to be urinating in public.

The former model, who now has powers of arrest, was seen stopping a man at London’s Bishopsgate who apparently relieving himself inside a metal sculpture.

Miss Lancaster, 50, who was seen wearing her official uniform for the first time, clearly wasn’t reticent about getting involved and reprimanding the man. She even marched him to the nearest Boots where she made him buy a bottle of water and return to wash down the sculpture.

Earlier this week Miss Lancaster, who is married to Sir Rod Stewart, revealed she had helped save the life of someone who was ‘very desperate’ on a bridge in London.

She also told Good Morning Britain: ‘Nobody’s recognised me. I’m in uniform. I’ve got my stab vest, armour... cuffs – I’m dressed as a regular.’
