‘Signed in blood, park killer’s pact with demon’

By Rebecca Camber Crime and Security Editor

Signed in blood, this is the pact a teenager allegedly made with a demon to kill two sisters so he could win the lottery.

danyal Hussein, 19, is accused of stabbing Bibaa Henry, 46, and nicole Smallman, 27, to death in a park before hiding their mutilated bodies in a hedge.

The daughters of the Church of england’s first female black archdeacon, Mina Smallman, had been out celebrating Bibaa’s birthday in Fryent Country Park in Wembley, north-west London, when they were attacked in the early hours of June 6 last year.

Yesterday jurors at the Old Bailey were shown a note found in the defendant’s bedroom, in which Hussein is said to have promised a demon named ‘Lucifuge Rofocale’ that he would sacrifice six women every six months in return for ‘wealth and power’ including a Mega Millions Super Jackpot win.

The ‘agreement’ read: ‘Perform a minimum of six sacrifices every six months for as long as i am free and physically capable.’

it added: ‘Sacrifice only women, build a temple for you, do everything that i have promised... to receive fruitful rewards for the future sacrifices i make to you, the rewards could consist of wealth and power, to never be suspected of any crimes by the police...’

Tucked into the note, which was allegedly signed in Hussein’s blood, were three lottery tickets for the Lotto draw, Thunderball and euroMillions draws. Hussein also spent £17.50 on ten Mega Millions bets and two Mega Millions syndicate bets, it was said.

On June 6, Hussein was seen on CCTV entering the park where the two sisters were dancing in the moonlight, jurors heard. Their bodies were found in the undergrowth with their limbs intertwined after friends mounted a search for them two days later.

Miss Henry, a social worker, had been stabbed eight times and her sister, who worked in the hospitality industry, suffered 28 injuries. Hussein’s DNA was found on the bodies of both victims, on a bloodstained knife and on a pair of latex gloves found nearby, jurors were told.

Two days before the killing, Hussein bought a knife block containing five blades from Asda, police said. He also ordered a mask and digging tools online.

A day after the double murder, Hussein was treated in hospital for injuries to his right hand, which he claimed were from a group of boys who had tried to rob him.

When he was arrested by police, the autistic teenager told officers: ‘i feel really confused and scared.’

Hussein, of Blackheath, southeast London, denies two counts of murder. The trial continues.
