My bullet wound is just a flea bite

A GOLF club diner shrugged off a ‘bug bite’ on his head – only to later realise he had been grazed by a stray bullet instead.

The unnamed 57year-old was on the patio at the Sedgefield Country Club, in North Carolina, this week when he felt a stinging sensation. He initially ignored the ache until he was told he was bleeding. Then a bullet was found on the ground nearby.

Sheriff ’ s office spokesman Lori Poag said the bullet had ‘grazed the outermost layer of his scalp’, adding: ‘No one that was out on the patio eating with him remembered hearing a sound of a gun being fired.

‘It appears the shooting was accidental, possibly from a bullet fired into the air from some distance away.’
