PRETTY IN PINK
SWEET Williams — Dianthus barbatus — are the prettiest, most charming members of the pink family. Unlike other pinks, these are biennials with broad leaves and fragrant flower clusters. They’re lovely as cut flowers, too. Seeds can be sown between mid-May and mid to late June. They can be sown outdoors now, for flowers next year. When the seedlings are mature enough to handle, thin them out and move to where they will bloom.
