WARPAINT London looked attractive to investors with shares jumping 14.6pc, or 20.5p, to 160.5p. It said sales of its brands were up 64pc in the first five months this year as lockdown eased and women reached for the lipstick.
Warpaint’s growth was supported by its W7 brand being stocked in 1,300 Tesco stores compared to just 56 last year.
Shore Capital analyst Darren Shirley left forecasts unchanged, but said that there was ‘growing scope for upgrades if current momentum can be sustained’ into the second half, and ‘if significant additional Covid disruption can be avoided’.
