MABEL (pictured), daughter of Neneh Cherry, comes from a family of star musicians. She studied music in Sweden, and had her breakthrough hit with Finders Keepers in 2017. This week, she joins SCOTT MILLS (RADIO 2, 9.30AM), who’s sitting in for Ken Bruce, to talk about her career and choose her Tracks Of My Years. THE POWER OF NEGATIVE THINKING (RADIO 4, 9.30AM) presents us with the stories of two people who have gone through life-changing events. One of them won £13 million on the Euromillions lottery; the other had a serious illness that has led to a life spent in a wheelchair. Oliver Burkeman hears that, according to research, these very different experiences are unlikely to have much effect on either person’s overall happiness.

PASSENGER LIST (RADIO 4, 2.15PM) returns for a new, daily run of episodes. Wreckage of Flight 702 has been found, and the airline claims the crash was caused by a bird strike. Aviation lawyer Rory Murray contacts relatives to organise a class action. The more he delves into the incident, the stranger things seem, especially when he learns that many bereaved relatives received enigmatic messages from their loved ones — after the crash.
