For many people who lived through the Second World War, the ruins of St Michael’s Cathedral in Coventry were an evocative reminder of the conflict and, in particular, the devastating air raid on the city in 1940. This film, narrated by Pauline Black, tells the story of how the new cathedral incorporated the old building’s ruins when it was consecrated on the same site in 1962.
