KDB and Hazard in frame for Belgium

BELGIUM manager Roberto Martinez has some encouraging news on injury hit stars Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne after a difficult build-up to Euro 2021.

Hazard is set to make his comeback in today’s warm-up against Croatia and should feature when the Red Devils open Group B against Russia in St Petersburg on Saturday. Meanwhile, De Bruyne — who fractured his nose and eye socket during Manchester City’s Champions League final defeat by Chelsea — has undergone a successful operation. However, he’s not expected to face the Russians.

Martinez said: ‘Kevin can’t wait to get on to the pitch on Monday [for training]. Eden’s situation doesn’t worry me. Some players need to be physically at their very best, others can rely on their talent. I don’t think he will start but he will finish.’
