Paddington

( 2014) Film4, 5.15pm Although not quite as impressive as its peerless sequel, this charming family comedy is still wonderful. Ben Whishaw voices the titular bear who arrives in London from darkest Peru. He’s taken in by the Brown family, but soon finds himself up to his ears in trouble thanks to a villainous taxidermist (played with relish by Nicole Kidman). ★★★★★
