Basketball 3 x 3: How it works

BASED on street basketball, this new Olympic sport involves two teams of three players (plus one substitute) attacking the same basket on half a regular court.

The winner is the first team to reach 21 points, or the side with the most points after 10 minutes. In the event of a tie, the first team to score two points win. Don’t expect an American walkover, though. The United States men failed to even qualify!
