has appeared to accuse Liverpool’s owners of making him feel unappreciated ahead of his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

‘There was a moment I didn’t feel loved and appreciated,’ said Wijnaldum, talking inside the Parc des Princes in his new club’s training kit. ‘Not my team-mates, not the people at Melwood. Not from that side, more the other side.’

The Dutch midfielder also said abuse from the club’s fans online made him question how much he was valued.
