Best for: scenery seekers Here’s is one of those rare places where the beauty of the view, all rolling hills, is matched by the sheer quality of the food. The menu is assuredly seasonal, making use of local ingredients, almost all from within a 30-mile radius of its location, Newton-in-bowland. Expect epic mutton pies, excellent steak, immaculate fish and serious puddings along with genuine charm – dogs welcome.
