PICK OF THE DAY

MORECAMBE & WISE: THE LOST TAPES

9PM, ITV ★★★★ Untouched and unseen in the attic of Eric Morecambe’s study, a lost tape from 1970 was found last year. An episode from the duo’s long-running TV show, it was thought to be lost for ever, and sees the light of day for the first time in 50 years here. On hand to enjoy Eric and Ernie’s (right) sketches are celebrity fans including Ben Miller and Jonathan Ross, and they’re joined by Eric’s wife, Joan, and their children, Gary and Gail. Joan remembers her husband saying, ‘I do hope we won’t be forgotten.’ There’s no chance of that.

CHRIS PACKHAM: THE WALK THAT MADE ME

8PM, BBC2 ★★★★

Chris takes a very personal trip around Hampshire, walking from Southampton to Winchester. The presenter not only gives us a tour of the beautiful countryside of his childhood and current home county, he also talks about the life-saving impact of nature on his health and wellbeing.

CRAIG AND BRUNO’S GREAT BRITISH ROAD TRIPS

8PM, ITV ★★★★

This week, the dancing boys are in Wales, where Craig reveals that he is ‘five per cent Welsh’, and therefore better qualified to do the driving. They start at the coastal town of Harlech, pointing their Mini onwards and upwards to Snowdonia before finishing on Holy Island, via the Menai Strait and Anglesey.

FAKE OR FORTUNE?

9PM, BBC1 ★★★★

Art detectives Philip Mould and Fiona Bruce step up to help Neil and Barbara in Norfolk, who think there’s a chance that a small sculpture that was once used as a doorstop could in fact be a Henry Moore. If true, it could be worth up to a staggering £1 million. It’s hard not to get really invested in this one.
