Sandra Bullock is one of my favourite leading ladies and we had a lot of fun making Miss Congeniality. She had terrific physical ability and comic timing as the tomboy FBI agent Gracie Hart who goes undercover at a Miss Universe beauty pageant. I played smarmy MC Stan Fields [above with Gracie], who was based on Miss America’s MC Bert Parks, once described as having the snappy patter of a snake-oil salesman.
