...AND NOT FORGETTING PINEWOOD STUDIOS

The huge studio complex in Buckinghamshire has been the home of 007 since the first Bond film Dr No in 1962, and for this movie it housed a huge water tank (used to shoot the scene featuring a sinking trawler) and the interiors at MI6, in Cuba and at Safin’s lair. ‘There’s a lot of glamour in the different locations but there’s something special about Pinewood,’ says Rami Malek, who plays Safin. ‘You see the 007 emblem all over the place, wherever you are. The craftsmanship, the technicians are all extraordinary people who have worked on many of the Bond films. It feels historic.’
