Helena’s the real star

Laugh-out-loud humour is no longer a given with comedy these days, but Greg Davies’s pitch-black sitcom The Cleaner on BBC1 is brilliant. The TV funnyman does a top job as a crime-scene cleaner but it was his co-star Helena Bonham Carter who stole the first episode – particularly with the brave toilet scene. Let’s hope the standard can be maintained throughout the series.
