Don’s a true diamond

What a treat it was to watch BBC4’S soaring musical tribute Diamonds Are Forever: The

Black Songbook. With a warehouse full of hits to his name, Don is such a talented, unassuming, humble man, always ready to give praise to fellow lyricists. I had no idea that he could be so funny. The performances by musicians including Katie Melua and Brian May, and the orchestra, were wonderful.
