HOW TO MAKE ATREE ANGEL

If you love Prue’s pretty tree topper (below left) why not make your own.

HOW TO CONSTRUCT

Use a dinner plate to draw a semi-circle on your card. Cut the card out and roll and secure with glue or tape to make a cone shape. Using a permanent marker pen, draw your angel’s face onto your ping pong ball.

Snip the top of your cone off (approx 1cm). Add some glue to the base of the ping pong ball and secure on top of the cone.

Now secure the hair

(wool) to the angel’s head using a little more glue. To make the halo, wrap a pipe cleaner around

the top of a bottle to create a round halo shape, twist the ends at the back to make a tail and secure with glue to the back of the angel’s head.

Adorn your angel as you like. We added a strip of lace to the dress and a strip of pompom trim to the base. Add a central decoration such as a button or twist another pipe cleaner into a floral or star shape. To finish, give your angel some tinsel wings. Either twist it into a figure of eight or scrunch either end and glue or tape to the back of the cone.
