THE QUEEN’S GREEN CANOPY

Under this initiative, more than 60,000 trees have already been planted (including this one, above, by David Beckham and his daughter Harper), generating majestic avenues and expansive new forests that will benefit future generations. Every planting is recorded on a digital map that will be presented to the Queen at the end of 2022. The scheme is also working to protect 70 ancient trees and 70 ancient woodlands that are a valuable part of our heritage, and has launched a special training programme to teach unemployed young people new skills in woodland management.
