Saturday, 9.30pm, Ch4 ★★★ There’s some nifty digital trickery in this action thriller, which gives us a ‘de-aged’ version of its star, Will Smith. Of course, when he was younger, he was a cheeky, babyfaced Fresh Prince Of Bel-air – and that’s a far cry from the robotic, emotionless young man we see here. The concept is bonkers, but pretty straightforward. Smith (above, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead) plays Henry Brogan, a special forces assassin who is targeted by the agency he once worked for. They’ve been keeping creepy secrets – namely, a project to clone their most lethal assassins. And who better to kill Brogan than a younger, more ruthless Brogan, who doesn’t question authority or morality? Cue a lot of running, chasing and fighting.
