Tonight, we journey into the ‘bowels of the earth’ – otherwise known as Cwmorthin mine (left) in Wales, the shaft into which ran so deep it could accommodate the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. Later, there’s a visit to a US Cold War bunker that’s hidden beneath a hotel in Virginia.
