Dogs worked with the drovers herding cattle along the Golden Road in Pembrokeshire and then on to London. Ashley Mcbryde (9pm, Radio 2) Balding walks some of that route, and hears about these clever dogs and the history of the Golden Road.

THE COUNTRY SHOW WITH BOB HARRIS 9PM, RADIO 2

Ashley Mcbryde was born and raised in Saddle, Arkansas, and is the daughter of a preacher man, which is pretty much a perfect start in life for a country star.
