SOLOS STARRY ANTHOLOGY

The Twilight Zone spent a lot of time pondering human nature, and that’s the central drive of this seven-parter, each episode of which is focused around a different performer. Now, actors love a showcase, and what actors they’ve managed to attract to this project – Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and Anne Hathaway are among those we see striding across our screen, mesmerising us with their powers of pretending. Each story stands alone but they are loosely connected and share themes, such as the abuse of technology – another very Twilight Zone topic. The series gets off to a strong start with Anne Hathaway as a physicist determined to crack the secret of time travel and the final episode with Freeman and Dan Stevens is another goodie. It has both moving and funny moments, and will leave you with a lot to think about.
