PREHISTORIC PLANET

DINOSAURS WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH

Spend long enough watching this show and you’ll find yourself believing you can book a dinosaur safari, because what’s on your screen looks that real (right). Narrated by the trusted tones of David Attenborough and produced by BBC Studios, Prehistoric Planet has clearly been given a budget that could fund a revolution, and each episode shows us the beasts roaming free in a different environment. In part one, witness giant marine predator the mosasaur, which is twice the size of a T-rex, as it moves through the water. In part two, marvel as 40-tonne titanosaurs fight it out, and packs of velociraptors stalk their prey, looking much more birdlike than they do in Jurassic Park. It’s just one amazing sight after another, and you’ll find yourself thinking, ‘How did they get the cameras so close?’ before remembering it’s all just been created on a computer somewhere. The modern world is an incredible place. See feature, page 8-9. Daily, from Monday
