CELINE DION AT THE BBC

7PM, BBC2

It’s another great Saturday night for music on the box, so push the coffee table out of the way and make space for a dance floor in your front room. This programme takes us on a tour through the versatile Canadian crooner’s performances from the BBC archives, including the hit single My Heart Will Go On from the film blockbuster Titanic. TOTP: Story Of 1998 (at 8pm) also features that chart-topper – pipped to the title of the UK’S bestselling single of that year by Cher’s Believe.

CASUALTY 8.50PM, BBC1

The human trafficking storyline that has been paramedic Iain’s main preoccupation over the past months reaches a dramatic climax tonight. Elvira puts herself in grave danger in hopes of reaching Iain and, frustrated and on edge, Iain is pushed into drastic and potentially deadly action when he takes matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Rash and junior doctor Paige have an emotional heartto-heart just before the traffickers’ violence spills over into the ED.

ABBA: THE MISSING 40 YEARS 9.20PM, CH5

Gone for decades but not forgotten, Bjorn, Benny, Anni-frid and Agnetha (right) launch their comeback concerts in London at the end of this week, with computergenerated images of their younger selves, rather than the stars themselves, taking to the stage. This documentary doesn’t feature the band in the flesh either, only in archive footage, but we do hear from friends and collaborators about their post-break-up years. There were highs and lows, but let’s focus on the highs. Elaine Paige describes working with Bjorn and Benny on the West End musical Chess, and we also hear from Julie Walters, who shares her experience of working on the hit Mamma Mia! films. At 10.45pm, there’s a look at Abba’s incredible catalogue, and the artists who recorded their own versions of the group’s many hits – and don’t miss Abba: The Movie at 7.15pm, the 1977 mock documentary that the group starred in.
