It’s lambing season, which means the annual trip to auntie Dawn’s farm, but how will Cat, her mum, Marilyn, and Callum cope with the country air and need for sensible shoes, never mind the messier aspects of delivering ‘sheeps’? Cathy’s mum, Tess, takes pity on Marcus – ‘a shrivelled little mess of a man’

– and brings him along, killing Cathy’s otherwise buoyant mood. There is one advantage to Marcus being there: his crippling insecurities around hunky Callum are highly entertaining, as is Marilyn’s conviction that she was a dairy maid in a past life. But maybe it isn’t wise to let Dawn (Caroline Quentin) near the energy drinks.
