Violent new sci-fi Mystery

A disparate group are stranded in a remote location, where they tackle deadly foes and the puzzle of why they can’t escape. It sounds like the plot of Lost, and From comes from the same producers, but it plays quite differently. The location is a small American town that people drive into only to find they can’t leave; and where the deadly foes come out at night. Both shows also share a star in Harold Perrineau, an actor of rare depth and charisma who is really allowed to stretch his legs here, as the sheriff trying to keep order in a community always on the verge of anarchy. It’s also a much bloodier show than Lost, so be ready for that – but the mystery is much better plotted.
