Against the picturesque backdrop of Amsterdam’s canals and cobbles, a grisly discovery awaits. The stinkingrich Cuyper family, who made their fortune in diamonds, are targeted by a killer who leaves body parts on the doorsteps of the three Cuyper siblings. The body parts belong to a diamond polisher who worked in the family factory, and as Van der Valk and the team investigate, it’s clear that the Cuypers, rocked by the recent death of their mother, are anything but a happy family. As ever, the team do their best work over beer and pastries in the bar.
