(2013) 15 ◆ 9PM, ITV4 ★★★ Following Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, this sci-fi horror comedy reunites Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright for a wacky and increasingly dangerous pub crawl. Martin Freeman and Rosamund Pike are among the cast facing evil alien robots before their hangovers kick in. It’s the least successful in the so-called Cornetto trilogy of genre-bending comedies.

La La Land, this stars Miles Teller as a young jazz drummer (right). His conservatory conductor (J.K. Simmons) is a terrifying father figure, an abusive perfectionist who cares for nothing but the best.

Francis Ford Coppola’s thriller is one of the most intriguing and influential films of the 1970s.
