9PM, CH5 Siegfried is more irritable than usual, yelling at all of the inhabitants of Skeldale House before breakfast – but in this episode we learn more about his traumatic past and the root of his bad temper. He struggles to diagnose a difficult young racehorse called River, knowing that if he doesn’t heal the creature, his owner will put him down. Helen is still settling into the house after marrying James, but their bond is put to the test by his dedication to the job as well as his unpopular farm TB testing scheme. Meanwhile, Tristan takes to reordering the veterinary dispensary – with surprising enthusiasm.
