BLOOD & TREASURE THE ROOKIE

INDIANA JONESSTYLE ROMP

Team an Fbiagent-turnedantiques-expert with a sexy art thief (above) and then send them off on a mission to save the world and you’ve got series one of this enjoyable adventure down pat.

The new second series starts with Danny and Lexi hoping for downtime as they mop up the fallout from their last adventure. But then terrorists attack the Vatican and the pair find themselves embroiled in another conspiracy. Matt Barr and Sofia Pernas make a likeably glamorous leading couple, trading smouldering looks and sharp oneliners in equal measure as they trip from one action set-piece to another in a show that channels the spirit of Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones. Series 1 already available; series 2 box set from Wednesday, Sky/now

NEW BOX SET ACTION SHOW

SLICK POLICE ACTION IN LA

John Nolan (Nathan Fillion, second from left) is far from the novice copper who began this enjoyable drama about a middle-aged man who decides to become a police officer. He’s now a seasoned Los Angeles cop who’s been tasked with training rookies of his own. All this makes for interesting and amusing new dynamics as this fifth series begins. Can Nolan cope with a wannabe young cop with her own distinctly supernatural worldview, for instance? We also get to check back in with Nolan’s friends (surely Tim and Lucy are finally going to become a couple?) and even a few enemies from the past. And if you thought we’d seen the last of serial killer Rosalind Dyer, then you were seriously mistaken... Series 2-4 already available; series 5 weekly from Thursday, Sky/now
