In the early 1980s, Gilles Villeneuve (above) and Didier Pironi were teammates, rivals and the closest of friends, driving for Ferrari and battling for the Formula 1 World Championship.

But their friendship crumbled after an incident at the 1982 San Marino Grand Prix. Within weeks, Villeneuve was dead, killed in a terrifying crash. This documentary is a vivid snapshot of a swashbuckling era, charting their conflict with the help of friends and family, including Villeneuve’s son Jacques, who won the F1 World Championship 15 years later.
