Battle to topple a hedge fund titan

Rhoades (Paul Giamatti, above, centre right) decides to go after uber-wealthy hedge fund king Bobby ‘Axe’ Axelrod (Damian Lewis, above, centre left). But Axe isn’t going to go down without a fight. Snarling, sneering and spitting putdowns, Giamatti and Lewis are on top form in the spectacular first five series, while series six – where House Of Cards’ Corey Stoll arrives to play Rhoades’ latest corrupt moneyman target – wasn’t half bad either. It was certainly good enough to earn the show an upcoming seventh run, and there are spin-offs in the pipeline, too – currently called Millions and Trillions, focusing on rising financial titans and the exceptionally wealthy, respectively.
