Coming-of-age school Drama

This latest iteration of the Grange Hill format follows a group of six sidelined youngsters who get a clean slate at a new school in Coventry. The newcomers have all been excluded from their former schools and are introduced as pretty routine stereotypes – alpha male, confident blonde, Asian computer whizz – but as we get to know them over the ten episodes the clichés start to fall away. The six teenagers form a tight friendship group, meeting in a disused boiler room to share and overcome the challenges they face – from parental neglect to bullying.
