TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES

(2003) 12 9.30PM, CH4 A much-maligned entry in the Terminator mythology, though it’s nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be. Nick Stahl is John Connor, the hero trying to avert a meltdown. And guess who’s back? Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as the good cyborg taking on Kristanna Loken’s advanced, shape-shifting model T-X (right).

Rachel Mcadams and Jason Bateman are games enthusiasts getting seriously carried away in a well-observed comedy that shows couples how not to spend their Saturday nights.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III

(2006) 12 11.35PM, CH4 Tom Cruise accepts a third mission – proving that they’re more tricky than impossible. Cruise’s Ethan Hunt is retired but returns to the fray to take on Philip Seymour Hoffman’s arms dealer.
