ANTIQUES ROADSHOW
8PM, BBC1 ★★★★ This week’s episode comes from Sefton Park in Liverpool, where Fiona Bruce and the team of antiques experts discover some rare treasures, including a medal given to one of the first men to land on D-day, a stool used at Queen Elizabeth II’S coronation, and a pair of Georgian spoons engraved with the initials JC. Can you guess which famous explorer they belonged to?
African wilderness for 18 days with only basic equipment and rations – if they make it, they will win a £300k prize. As ever, there’s a catch. Over the course of their tortuous journey, the competitors will be offered luxuries, but if they succumb to temptation, the money will be taken out of the collective prize pot – and with a single shower costing £1,000, the money could run out very fast indeed.
Let the games begin.
