AFTER we made a visit together to the local garden centre, my wife was pinged and has had to selfisolate. i didn’t receive a ping and due to the worry and stress this experience has caused, i’ve switched off the NhS test and trace app on my phone.

in theory, it’s a good idea to be able to check where everyone is at any time. in practice, it’s a farce.

Big Brother hasn’t got it right this time.
