I’m back... Maggie has her booster

SHE made history in December as the first person in the world to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

And yesterday Maggie Keenan had her booster shot.

The 91-year-old grandmother said she ‘felt great’ after getting her third dose at University Hospital Coventry and urged others to ‘go for it’.

Mrs Keenan received her shot at the same time as Matron May Parsons – the nurse who delivered that first dose – and the pair shared a hug. This week 350,000 people have had their booster shots under the NHS immunity top-up scheme for over-50s ahead of winter.

Mrs Keenan, a former jewellery shop assistant, said: ‘It was a real privilege to be the first person vaccinated against Covid-19 in December, and to be able to receive my booster alongside May was hilarious.

‘We have done the double-act today – Maggie May!’
