It’s alone Musk... billionaire and pop star split up

THEY famously have a baby named X – and now sadly Elon Musk and Grimes are exes, after announcing their split after three years together.

Billionaire tycoon Musk, 50, confirmed he and the pop star, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, 33, are ‘semiseparated’ but will co-parent their one-year-old son.

The child, who was born in May last year, has the full name of X AE A-Xii (pronounced Ex Ash A Twelve) – but goes by the nickname of X.

Tesla and SpaceX chief Musk, who is the second richest man in the world with an estimated worth of £110billion, said: ‘We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms.

‘It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or travelling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.’

Musk was previously married to author Justine Wilson, 49, with whom he has five sons – twins Griffin and Xavier, 17, and 15-year-old triplets Damian, Saxon and Kai.

Their first child, Nevada, died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome aged ten weeks in 2002.

He was also married – twice – to English actress Talulah Riley, 35. They first wed in 2010 but divorced in 2012. The couple reconciled a year later and remarried but divorced again in 2016.

He dated Amber Heard from 2017 to 2018 following her illfated marriage to Johnny Depp.

Two months after welcoming baby X, Musk admitted that his partner held the majority of the parenting responsibilities, saying that she ‘has a much bigger role right now’.

Meanwhile, Grimes said her child calls her by her first name. She explained: ‘X says Claire, but he doesn’t say “mama”, like maybe he can sense my distaste for the word “mother”.’
