£400 ENERGY BILL DISCOUNT

■ EVERY HOUSEHOLD in England, Scotland and Wales will get £400 off their energy bills this winter

■ The discount will come in six equal instalments – and will be automatically applied to bills each month

■ It will start from October and continue until March, with second home owners getting the discount twice

■ POLICY COST: £12billion

PLUS £650 COST OF LIVING PAYMENT

■ 8.3MILLION LOWINCOME HOUSEHOLDS will receive a £650 payment to help them cope with soaring bills

■ The payment will go to all those on means-tested benefits, such as Universal Credit and Pension Credit

■ The payment will be split into two equal parts, with the first in July and the second paid in the autumn.

■ POLICY COST: £5.4billion

PLUS £300 PENSIONER PAYMENT

■ 8.4MILLION PENSIONER HOUSEHOLDS will receive a £300 payment this winter to help with fuel and other bills

■ The money will be paid alongside the existing Winter Fuel Payment – and will be paid in November or December

■ It goes to all homes containing at least one person aged 66 or over

■ POLICY COST: £2.5billion

PLUS £150 DISABILITY PAYMENT

■ SIX MILLION PEOPLE ON DISABILITY BENEFITS will receive a one off payment of £150

■ The payment is to reflect additional costs of energy-intensive medical equipment

■ The money will go to those on benefits such as Disability Living Allowance and the Personal Independence Payment

■ POLICY COST: £900million
