United’s first signing: a leak inspector!
By MIKE KEEGAN
MANCHESTER UNITED have commissioned a leaks inspector at Old Trafford — but they will have nothing to do with the drip of information coming out of the dressing room. Fans have complained about water pouring through the roof at the stadium. Now, every time it rains, a member of ground staff is tasked with checking for leaks, with repairs carried out within 24 hours. The process is repeated come rain or shine on matchdays before turnstiles are opened. United want to improve the matchday experience at Old Trafford. They ultimately hope to redevelop the ageing stadium. Some fans have also had fines after being caught relieving themselves near the ground. Temporary urinals were removed by Trafford Council. United are seeking a solution.
