Mcerlean. ‘On leaving school at 18 i was called up for National Service and joined the RAF. i saw George once after, when we went to a cricket match at

RETIRED police officer Nigel Fortnam of Lyme Regis, Dorset, was in search of fellow classmates on his three-month police training course at the Eynsham Hall Training Centre. ‘I was in the City of London police,’ he told us. ‘I’d love to reunite with anyone on the course, which took place in the ferocious winter of 1963. ‘My City of London colleagues were Malcolm Godefroy, Glyn Edwards, Gordon Bridger and Mick Fairburn.’ Sadly, we’ve discovered Glyn Edwards and Mick Fairburn are no longer with us. Mick’s friend Paul Glover emailed us, and he and Nigel have been in touch to reminisce.
