ODD BACKDROP OF THE WEEKEND:

The actors are in 1920s costume but some outdoor scenes in KaDeWe — Our Time is Now (BBC4) are shot in modern-day Berlin, with graffiti on the walls, neon signs, traffic lights and buses. The effect is disastrous. It looks like a cheap student production.
