Trailblazers: A Rocky Mountain Road Trip, 9pm, BBC2

ON THE second leg of their raucous journey across the American West in the footsteps of Victorian explorer Isabella Bird, Ruby Wax, Mel B and Emily Atack head deeper into the Rocky Mountains to Central City. It’s now known as a gambling hub, but Bird travelled here during the Gold Rush, when it was dubbed ‘the richest square mile on Earth’. On the outskirts is a ghost town, which our trio are keen to explore. From there they head to the billionaires’ playground of Aspen, where ‘fun coach’ Lauren (pictured with Ruby) takes them for a snowy mountain walk before they indulge in a unique shopping experience at a store selling cowboy hats, some of which cost a staggering £5,000!
