has failed in her bid to become the PFA’s first female chair after losing out in a vote to Leyton Orient’s Omar Beckles. As Sportsmail reported, the Manchester City defender and former Lionesses star emerged as the leading candidate to take the role following current incumbent John Mousinho’s departure to manage Portsmouth. However, Beckles, 31, was voted in ahead of Houghton and Brighton’s Danielle Carter at a meeting of the players’ board yesterday.
