MARSCH BACKS JACK TO STAY AT LEEDS
DAVID COVERDALE
JESSE MARSCH expects Jack Harrison to sign a new deal at Leeds after blocking his move to Leicester on deadline day. The winger, who has 18 months left on his contract, was at Leicester’s training ground for a medical ahead of a proposed £20million switch before boss Marsch persuaded Leeds chiefs to keep him. ‘We’d been talking with Jack for a while about renegotiating his contract and it’s gone well but then stalled,’ said Marsch, who has included new signing Weston McKennie in his squad for tomorrow’s game at Nottingham Forest. ‘When big offers come in, players have to consider what that might be so I don’t fault anyone for visiting the possibility. But once the decision makers aligned themselves, we wanted Jack to stay.’
