Fans mob prince after he enjoys £7.50 supper in an LGBT diner

From Mary O’Connor In Warsaw, Poland

THE Prince of Wales was greeted by adoring fans on the final day of his surprise trip to Poland as he hailed the country’s continued support for Ukraine.

After a visit to speak with Ukrainian refugees at a food hall in Warsaw, Prince William, 40, met Poles who thanked him for coming to their country.

Three royal superfans, Marta Zegarek, Agate Beitosiek, both 22, and Olga Mieszejewska-Buchalik, 26, travelled hours by train to see William outside the Hala Koszyki food hall. They described the meeting as a dream come true.

As part of the two-day visit, the Prince of Wales also met Polish leader Andrzej Duda and thanked him for the ‘generosity and hospitality’ towards Ukraine.

The night before, the future King enjoyed a £ .50 pulled pork sandwich, fries and a lemonade as he visited an LGBT restaurant with Kensington Palace employees in the capital.

A source told the Mail that William had asked to join his staff for dinner at Butero Bistro, a local restaurant advertising itself as a ‘queerspace with comfort food’. The source said: ‘It was a great night by all accounts... the team really appreciated him asking to join them.’
