After on-set drama, smile that says Diaz is glad to be back

SHE’S back to work filming her first movie in nearly a decade – and by the looks of things she’s thrilled about it.

But despite her wide grin, Cameron Diaz’s return to the film world hasn’t been entirely trouble-free, following the latest reports of drama on set.

The actress, 50, is starring alongside her close friend Jamie Foxx, who was spotted filming their new Netflix movie for the first time since he reportedly had a ‘meltdown’.

Foxx, 55, was reportedly unhappy with production of Back In Action,

‘She has nothing to prove to anyone’

leading to four crew members allegedly being fired, with a source telling The Sun: ‘There have been some issues on set and Jamie has had a major meltdown over it all.’

Miss Diaz can be seen larking around in the Surrey countryside, following her retirement from Hollywood in 2018 and her last movie, Annie, in 2014.

But a friend said she has struggled with long days away from husband Benji Madden and daughter Raddix, three, who they had via a surrogate.

It is claimed Miss Diaz hates the ‘drama and confrontation’ that erupts on movie sets. The friend told MailOnline: ‘[That’s] why she retired from the business in the first place. She has proven herself in the industry and has nothing left to prove to anyone.’

The row also came after production was reportedly suspended over an alleged plot to steal £33,000 from Foxx in a scam, which led to the sacking of one staff member. A source said: ‘This film has been a bit of a nightmare.’
