The fab 300: Rare photos tell story of the Beatles

RARE pictures of The Beatles have been unveiled by photographer Terry O’Neill in a book released on the 60th anniversary of their debut album, Please Please Me.

The 300 photos range from the Fab Four’s early days in the 1960s up until the 2000s, long after they had gone their separate ways. The photographer, who died in 2019, was a friend of the band and documented recording sessions, parties and personal moments.

The book cover shows the band in the garden of Abbey Road Studios in July 1963. A picture from August that year shows them at Didsbury Studio Centre in Manchester before filming for ABC Television’s Big Night Out.
